Kids in Camp
As a registered charity, the mandate of Kids in Camp (KIC) is to provide financial assistance to children in need so that they can attend summer camp. KIC is associated with the Ontario Camps Association (O.C.A.). Each child supported by KIC will attend one of the over 300 accredited O.C.A. member camps, assuring a quality camp experience. Anyone who has been touched by camp knows that the camp experience is incredibly worthwhile and valuable. Campers learn confidence, acceptance of others, sportsmanship, social skills, integrity and ethics in a way that cannot be duplicated elsewhere. As Kids in Camp grows through events like the Intercamp Classic, KIC’s single largest fundraising event, so too will the number of children it is able to send to camp! Testimonials
“The campers and staff at camp were awesome! I thought I would be scared to be away from my parents but the people made it so fun. The food was great and the activities too. At camp, I started liking sports and realized I was good at lots of things .I feel really happy that I got to go to camp. It’s a special place and I hope I get to go back next year.” Annie, Camper – Age 9
“I’m a mother in crisis and having 3 children attend summer camp was a gift for me. Knowing that my children were going to be in a positive environment gave me so much peace inside my heart and mind. The staff members were clearly as excited about the activities as the campers. I cannot thank the wonderful people enough who made this happen for my children and me.”Jessica, Parent
